A Personal Turning Point That Shapes Her Work
Courtney’s professional mission is inseparable from her own lived experience.
“My turning point came when I realized that being ‘good’ was costing me my aliveness.”
For years, Courtney did everything right: earning advanced degrees, following the rules, building a life that looked successful and secure from the outside. As a therapist and wife, she was fluent in caretaking, self-sacrifice, and keeping the peace. What she wasn’t fluent in was desire. Her own voice, needs, and embodied truth.
That quiet erosion showed up most clearly in her relationship and sexuality, where disconnection and shame replaced curiosity and pleasure. This experience now informs her work with women who feel accomplished on paper but disconnected in their bodies, relationships, and inner lives.
